Process:
Going to the Pratt Fashion studios and analyzing how different people sat in the current sewing machine seats. Realizing different ways they were restrictive: they dont form to the body making them uncomfortable for longer use. The sewing machines are in a low position relative to the seat the user is on currently: causing the user to have to adapt in terms of posture when using the machines.
Research:
I went to the fashion studio, where I spend a decent amount of time and analyzed how long people sit on the current sewing chairs, how people sit on them, changes in posture, how people of different heights sit on them. After determining what can be solutioned and improved that could be beneficial for all and how to make this seating more adaptable for a classroom.
